We’re so proud of how accessible and inclusive our shows are, but we know there is always more to do! Below are the projects we have introduced to some of the shows on our tour. If you feel that you could benefit from a project when we visit your area please call 01260 288690 or email sarah@circus-starr.org.uk.
The Circus Starr Sensory Story
We understand that for some people the different sensory experiences associated with being a circus may initially present a barrier to their ability to attend happily. That’s why we have partnered with Joanna Grace (The Sensory Projects) to create The Circus Starr Sensory Story that can help families prepare for their visit.

Touch Tours
We want to bring our show to life no matter what your disability! With our touch tours we aim to help our visually impaired audience members have a better understanding of our magical show.
Signing
We’re looking to provide more signed performances of our circus! A signed performance enhances the experience for people who are deaf or hearing impaired, and although our shows are beautiful to watch, we want to make it the best it can be for everyone. Our Big Top shows also feature some British Sign Language in our closing song.
Changing Places Toilets
In the Autumn of 2018 we became the first circus to ever tour with Changing Places facilities! Having a specially adapted vehicle on site makes our Big Top shows more accessible than ever, providing a mobile changing place for people with disabilities. After such an amazing response we look to have a Vehicles For Change vehicle with a toilet, hoist and full-sized changing bench at all of our Shows!
