Our team had the pleasure of meeting Aroob at our show in Sheffield!

We found out that she was going through an extremely difficult time after speaking to her father, Haroon, who told us of a recent loss in the family.

‘My son Ayaan has tragically passed away. He was only 5 years old, and it has left Aroob extremely distraught losing her baby brother and best friend.  She also suffers from the same rare genetic disorder as her brother – Hace 1.’

After speaking to her father we arranged for Aroob to have a VIP meet and greet with our troupe prior to our show, which he said would bring her some ‘happiness and joy’.

She met our clown, Lucus, our Ring Mistress, Mariska, and also our fabulous Starr Squad!

Haroon was thrilled with the experience and the impact it had on his daughter.

‘Mariska and the troupe were all very welcoming and went out of their way to bring a much-needed smile to Aroob – thank you to you all. She is overwhelmed by your kindness.  She has walked away with some special memories she will cherish for a long time to come.  Thank you to you all for your kindness, care, compassion, and generosity towards Aroob. I will be forever grateful to you for making Aroob’s day at Circus Starr very special and very memorable.’

We are so happy that we were able to create very special memories with Aroob and her family. But all of this was only possible thanks to the kind generosity of businesses who support our worthy cause.

Haroon had a message to share with those who helped to make it happen.

‘Thank you to all your sponsors who support you in the wonderful work you do.  You should all be very proud of yourselves and keep up the good the work you do for children with special needs like Aroob.’
