We received a lovely write-up from a parent after they visited our show.
They requested that their son’s name, disability and image were not used or mentioned. To respect her wishes, please note that the image and name used are not that of the child mentioned in the story below.
“My son loves playing with his toys, especially his cars and dinosaurs. He also enjoys going to the park and playing on the swings.
We were able to attend Circus Starr because we were given free tickets through a local charity that supports families with children who have disabilities or life threatening illnesses.
Having a child with disabilities or life threatening illness can present challenges in everyday life, such as needing extra time for certain activities or needing to make adjustments to our routines. When we go out as a family, we sometimes need to plan ahead and make sure that the places we visit are accessible and accommodating to our son’s needs.
I felt incredibly happy and grateful to be able to take my son to Circus Starr. It was a truly magical experience, and I could see how much he was enjoying himself.
Circus Starr felt different from other family outings because of the inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. The performers were incredibly talented and engaging, and they made a real effort to connect with the audience.
I believe that coming to the show had a positive impact on both my son and our family. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to create lasting memories together and to experience something truly special.
My son’s favourite moment from the visit was the ‘little pirate and big pirate’ acrobatics. His eyes lit up with excitement, and he couldn’t stop talking about it afterwards for days.
I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the businesses that support Circus Starr. Your generosity makes it possible for families like ours to experience the joy of the circus and create unforgettable memories.”
