April saw us start our brand new tour and boy have we been busy?!

Circus Starr is the only circus in the UK that moves location every other day, meaning we can reach as many disadvantaged families as possible. And now here we are, half way through our Spring 2019 tour, and we are loving it!

This year’s show see’s us welcome the return of hilarious female clown Andreea, whose mischievous antics keep our Ringmaster Joel on his toes.

But they aren’t the only talented pair at Circus Starr! We also welcome the debut of The Skating Bauer’s thrilling roller skating act, and a beautiful acro-balance performance from Duo Helix.

Also on offer is a mesmerising sensory hula hoop display from Eilidh, the Cuban Bar from Manuel, and energetic acrobatic skills from the Athumani Kenyan Warriors.

We continue to put inclusion first…

Every single one of our shows has had changing places facilities on site, providing a hoist, adult size changing bench and a disabled toilet.

We’ve also held our biggest touch tour to date in Sheffield! This was supported by a live audio description to assist our visually impaired audience members. We’re looking forward to holding this project again when we visit Exeter and Worcester.

Our shows in Middlesbrough and Tamworth have been deaf friendly. At both of these locations we have had a British Sign Language interpreter signing everything that happens in the show, and we’re excited to have this service available in Exeter and Bristol.

Each of performances also feature our troupe signing our finale song, ‘Shout Circus Starr’! This involves teaching the entire audience the British Sign Language signs to the chorus of the track which has proved to be a favourite with many of our audience members.

Of course none of this would have been possible without the amazing support of the businesses in each area that we visit.
